HILLWOOD The boundaries of the Hillwood District stretch from Zelda Road to Perry Hill and south of I-85 to Vaughn Road. There are 540 homes in the area, the original of which dates back 35 years. The upscale area features some of Montgomery's finest homes, many of which are custom built and range from $500,000 to $1 million. Some of Hillwood's homes have even been featured in magazines, such as Southern Living. But you don't have to be a millionaire to reside in Hillwood. Apartments, and some of the city's first town and patio homes make Hillwood accessible to all income levels. In fact, one can imagine living their entire life in Hillwood from early professional years to raising a family and then settling into retirement -- all stages of life are represented here. Though the homes of Hillwood are relatively new compared with some of Montgomery's oldest areas, residents enjoy the traditional splendor of age old trees on large 100 to 150 foot lots. Since what is now Hillwood was once ages ago a riverbed, the area's rich soil produces some of Montgomery's most beautiful azaleas. Residents of Hillwood enjoy modern convenience combined with the beauty and elegance of a bygone era. |
